HEALTH and hospice leaders say they want people to talk about the taboo subject of where they want to die.
St Richard's Hospice in Worcester is joining 7,000 members of the Dying Matters Coalition to mark Dying Matters Awareness Week which starts today.
The aim of the coalition is to encourage people to talk about their wishes towards the end of their lives, including where they want to die and their funeral plans with friends, family and loved ones.

A gaming license is back on the table in Missouri and a Cape Girardeau development company is interested.
Back in July of 2008, we showed you plans developed by Dream Big LLC to create an entertainment, residential, and commercial project along Cape's riverfront, anchored by a casino.
The men behind that effort now have the chance to revive it, after Pinnacle Entertainment announced it will close the President Casino and surrender the gaming license for it.

Lee Smith's early goal ensured Histon's first win in five games as they put right their goal drought to earn a 1-0 triumph over Tamworth.
Smith ended over six hours without a Histon goal when he smashed home Daniel Sparkes' early cross.
Andrew Tidswell then had a 12-yard shot saved by Lambs keeper Danny Alcock.

Manx enduro star David Knight was forced to retire from the Alligator Enduro in Florida on Thursday after suffering engine problems on his KTM.
Knight was leading the Daytona Beach event after the first two stages before engine problems forced him to retire.
Knight said: "The event was going well for me but I sucked some water through my engine and that was basically that."

Ten-man Rushden & Diamonds boosted their Blue Square Premier play-off bid with a close victory over Histon.
Lee Tomlin scored the only goal in the first half, drilling home from the penalty spot after Adam Tann was judged to have fouled Aaron O'Connor.
But Diamonds played 50 minutes a man down when Nick McNamara saw a straight red for a high tackle on Lee Smith.

David Knight stormed to victory in the opening round of the 2010 British Enduro Championships on Sunday.
Knight got the better of the appalling weather conditions to win the one-day Muntjac Enduro in Thetford Forest, Norfolk, by almost 20 seconds.
The Isle of Man rider said: "It's a shame the weather spoiled the event, but it's a great start to the championship for me."

A CRITICALLY acclaimed exhibition of sculptures that illustrate the stages of grief and loss is being hosted by St Richard's Hospice.
Sculptor Jean parker designed the eight heads to reflect her evolving emotions after she was diagnosed with cancer.
"Bald Statements" will be on view at the hospice on Wildwood Drive, Worcester until Monday, March 22.
The hope is that the exhibition will help stimulate discussion and the understanding of powerful emotions which can feel overwhelming. -David Knight
